Vegan Pumpkin Steamer Recipe I Cold Weather Traditions

We have entered the season where the pumpkin reigns supreme. For Halloween and through Christmas, my family will enjoy several pumpkin steamers to keep us cozy. There is also some rich nutritional value to be had with every sip. The recipe is simple and quick. Get ready for sweater weather and cozy up to this yummy pumpkin steamer.

Ingredients:

8 Oz Almond Milk (Vanilla unsweetened)

2 Tbs. pumpkin puree

1-2 Tbs. Honey

1 Tsp. Cinnamon

½ Tsp. Nutmeg

1 Tsp. Vanilla extract

Tools:

Non-stick pot

Whisk

Favorite Mug

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Non stick pot. Turn stove top oven on medium high, if you have a microwave, heat your ingredients in bursts of 30 seconds as not to scorch the almond milk until you reach the desired heat you prefer for your steamer. Then take your whisk and mix the ingredients thoroughly. There may be a light froth that develops at this point. Now your Pumpkin Steamer is ready to drink.

*I generally heat the mixture until it steams.

A few ways to enjoy a Pumpkin Steamer:

-Add whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon

-Add coffee, Tastes like a Pumpkin Latte

-Add Caramel flavored Vodka to make an excellent cocktail
