Easy Salmon Cake Recipe

My family loves salmon cakes, we eat them at least every other week. These taste excellent. You can make sliders or add them on a salad or simply eat them as a main dish.

We like to keep our omega 3 intake high when we can. Being a parent in school, I cannot afford to buy fresh salmon very often as it is a pretty penny. We are a no dairy family and do eat meat but we try to eat less with the goal being 50% of meals at this time. You will LOVE this recipe!

Recipe:

1 Egg

1 (15 oz) Can drained salmon

2 Tbsp. Minced garlic

2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

3/4 C. Plain breadcrumbs

1/2 C. Mayonaise

2 Tsp. Lemon or orange juice

1 Tsp. Onion powder

1 Tsp. Black pepper

1 Tbsp. Old bay seasoning

Directions:

Whisk the egg in a mixing bowl. Add in drained salmon, minced garlic, seasonings, worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, mayo and breadcrumbs (all ingredients) and mix until the mixture is consistent. Pre heat a non stick skillet on medium high and I used a small ice cream scoop to get the nice patty shape. Cook on each side for 3-4 minutes. As the patties cooked I transferred the finished patties to my warm oven. They always go quickly at our dinner table! Enjoy.
