4 Ingredient All Natural Lotion DIY Recipe (For Dry Chapped Winter Skin)

I made a jazzy DIY recipe for water based lotion to help keep my skin healthy and moisturized through the chilly winter months. The ingredients are all natural and super nutrient rich to give your skin a seasonal upgrade. I went with a water based lotion recipe in order to ensure moisture penetration, moisture retention and  super soft and supple skin. I have come to notice that my skin responds better to cream based moisturizers when the weather starts to get cold and dry. Here is a recipe that can change your winter skin LIFE! Recipe: 10 oz. Purified Water 3 oz Solid Oil (Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Babasau Oil etc.) 2 oz. Sunflower Lecithin 10 drops of Essential Oil *1 Tsp. Rosehip Oil (great for cell turnover & repair) The recipe is great and has a shelf life of 2 weeks, with refrigeration the lotion may last up to a month’s time. *You can also add some tea tree oil/ honey to help preserve the lotion. I buy my Sunflower here: Sunflower Letcithin Enjoy!  If …

Best Skin Ever! Boot Camp for Clear Skin (Blemish Free in 30 Days) Using All Natural Products

It is time to fight for clear skin. I have noticed a developing habit of wearing makeup more often than my normal 3-4 times a week to wearing makeup almost daily. The issue has been an ongoing blemish and hyper pigmentation festival developing on my cheeks and chin from stress break outs. Not my jam. I’m ready to get my skin back into shape and the best way I could think to start my clear skin journey was to put my skin in the Best Skin Ever Boot Camp For Clear Skin. This is a 30 day plan to overhaul my blemishes, hyper-pigmentation and uneven skin tone. The Skin Care Boot Camp is something you can alter to suit whatever your skin care needs are. I based my methods off of a combination of what has worked well for my skin in previous trials. Some of my methods are daily actions, other methods are only happening once a week for a series of 4 weeks in a row. Regimen Daily (2x a day):  Wash face with …

African Black Soap DIY Recipe: From Scratch- The Easy Way! + Skin & Hair Benefits

I LOVE using African black soap for my skin care regimen and also for shampooing and clarifying my hair. African black soap is excellent for skin and scalp care in general. I wanted to share a simple way I like to make african black soap from scratch. Simple is key! I prefer natural products that keep the ingredient count to a minimum. African Black Soap (ABS) is packed with nutrient dense ingredients and oils. Let’s start by discussing the benefits of using African black soap. Hair: African Black Soap will clarify your scalp and will help to treat scalp dryness and resulting dandruff. Being that ABS has excellent  astringent properties, product build up can be easily managed with regular use. The recipe for my ABS includes palm oil and grapeseed oil which are both packed with skin and scalp friendly antioxidants and have rich moisture content to strengthen and protect hair; which can lead to increased hair growth and length retention. Face: ABS is recommended often to treat oily skin and acne prone skin. The …

Are You Wearing Your Confidence & Success?

Confidence is built via self care in some ways. When looking at how we dress most Wellness Educators may say “it’s what’s inside that counts”, I say “yes and” to this type of statement. Who you are on the inside is the most important facet of identity, authentic self and spirit, however the way you dress communicates several messages to others about who you are, but more importantly; you’re sending a message to yourself as well. What are you wearing right now? If you saw someone else walking around in what you have on right now, would you be inspired or underwhelmed? This is the way I think for clothing items in my personal wardrobe. The rule of my wardrobe is to meet three simple requirements; style, function and comfort. Style: Does this match my personality and outwardly express my creativity? Do I feel stylish? Function: Does it serve purpose for the environment and people I will interact with? Comfort: Will I be comfortable wearing this for 8 plus hours? Or for the full length of …

Immunity Boost Body Wrap DIY at Home

Hi Friends, I love making body wraps at home. They are affordable, effective and pretty fun to incorporate into my monthly spa days. Recently, I have been under the weather with a cold. This cold featured a runny nose, congestion, sluggishness, and flashes of hot and cold. For this cold, I decided to avoid all over the counter medications and store bought remedies to put my body to the test. I have been doing a 30 day Vegan Challenge and wondered how my immunity was holding up. I generally will do a body wrap detox once a month and I wanted to create a body wrap that I could do specifically when I am feeling under the weather.  I was gifted some all natural products to test from GoPure Naturals, a great company that specialized in awesome all natural products for skin and hair. I concocted a simple 2 ingredient body wrap recipe for helping me get over the last leg of my cold, this would also be great body wrap to try right at the …

DIY: Stretch Mark Body Butter (4 ingredient) Recipe * Heal & Moisturize Skin + Benefits of All Natural Ingredients

Hi Friends, Today, I am sharing with you my favorite 4 ingredients to shrink/ camouflage stretch marks and several other skin issues including Contact Dermatitis, Eczema and Psoriasis. I have stretch marks on my tummy after birthing two healthy (large) children. My children are a blessing but I still want to wear a bikini. What is a woman to do? I have learned to accept and appreciate my body as is, I don’t want to be perfectly air brushed in appearance but feeling confident is bouncing ball, and if I have the means to get the result….why not try. I’m a mom but I am also a strong believer that self care and self confidence are important for my kids to recognize. One day they will be dating and looking to me for example and advice. I will show them healthy womanhood, so they can spot a confident woman when they are old enough to be looking…lol…(*steps off soap box). I also have mild seasonal eczema (summer time) and Contact Dermatitis. I have to be diligent about …
