Week 4 of The 30 Day Vegan Challenge Recap! I Made it 30 Days!

Week number four!!!!!! I made it! I am super excited and surprised that the 30 Day Vegan Challenge was not more difficult or taxing. I made it up until the last few days of the challenge before even having a hint of a meat craving. This challenge was so fun and challenging, I look forward to picking another month in the next three months to do another 30 days at complete veganism. So what did I learn from completing my first 30 days into the world of veganism? 1. I am capable of eating more meals with vegetables than I had imagined. The fun for me as a foodie was to create delicious meals that my family enjoyed without considering if it was a meatless dish. I found that I still crave a few of my favorite Vegan meals from the challenge. Doing this challenge has stretched my culinary skills to use ingredients and foods that I was curious about before starting my journey. I now feel like I understand tofu and Tempeh in a …

Daily Meditation 30 Days & Beyond

Another successful 30 day challenge complete! I am so excited about getting into the daily routine practice of Meditation. I was originally introduced to meditation when I was 18 and hanging out with one of my “hippie” friends from childhood. We were at her house and had a meditation circle, it was really cool and I found that I was able to grasp a new channel of enlightenment. Years later, after that initial experience with meditation I returned to practice. I would attempt belly breathing sporadically at work or after I put the boys to bed. It was consistently an awesome experience as belly breathing is essentially Meditation if you just close your eyes. As of a month ago almost two, I became more serious about picking up meditation. I was excited because I have held knowledge of the benefits and have already experienced the benefits …

Bee Pollen for Hair Growth?

I have been a Bee Pollen believer for the last year and a half. I did several days of research to learn more about the different types of supplements available on the market and which ones were safe, and healthy. Generally I have noticed that everything in pill form is not actually made safe or completely what the label says it is supposed to be. Shopping healthy can be so confusing and overwhelming with all the marketing that goes into the “market it to sell no matter what” culture. I am starting to dig deeper into tips about what products deserve my family’s trust and how to quickly decipher that information with two little ones in a grocery store, health food store, vitamin shop etc. I will keep that information documented here as the information unfolds. Anyway, back to be pollen. I love Bee Pollen, in my experience it has provided me with energy and my immune system sings it’s praises, an additional effect has been a nice amount of healthy hair growth! My …
